Twitter celebrated their 11th anniversary by sending festive graphics to user feeds. I worked with the design team at Twitter to develop handmade, typographic numbers in brand colors. The 'Twitterversary' Project is an exploration of elementary materials thats primary focus is to create an aesthetic that is both fun and delicate, textured and seamless.
Brightly colored card stock, scissors and hole punchers form a sense of child’s play, while simultaneously delivering a sophisticated result that is digestible to the untrained eye. These kinds of devices are less common in today’s design world, where much of the art consumed by the public is created digitally. The reason why the end product was more than optimal is simple: we started with the basic art materials that make design so tangible in the first place.
